Admitting Your Mistakes
Being aware of your mistakes is a gift because it brings you to correction.
When you justify your mistakes, you hang onto them, forcing you to defend your actions over and over again. This takes a great deal of time and energy. Indeed, if you are not careful, it can become the dominant theme of your life.
When you admit your mistakes, you deliver yourself from these rituals of deceit. You begin to move toward correction.
You may be ashamed of your mistake, but don't think it can't be corrected. You may feel terrible about your trespass, but don't think that you can't atone for it. If you want forgiveness, you have to have the courage to ask for it.
