Perceiving our Wholeness
Each one of us is whole.
We already have integrity.
We don't have to look for it somewhere outside ourselves.
The problem is that we believe that we are not whole.
We believe that we need to be fixed or that we can fix someone else.
We feel a false sense of responsibility for others and
we do not take enough responsibility for ourselves.
We attack, defend, and then try to repair the damage.
Of course, it doesn't work.
In truth, nothing is broken and nothing needs to be fixed.
If we could dwell in this awareness, our psychic wounds would heal by themselves.
We would realize that we have never been victims
and that we have never lacked for anything we truly needed.
When we accept ourselves and affirm our wholeness,
the person finding fault with our lives –
whether it is an inner or an outer critic—
moves out of the way.
