MYSTICAL APPROACH:  PRAYING FOR OTHERS

Jim and Nancy Rosemergy

Every now and then, we like to share with you the mystical approach to life.  The truth is that this way of life is so much a part of us now that it tends to show up in nearly all the messages we share with you.  This way of life is different, and this is readily apparent when we pray for others from a mystical perspective.  Over the next several days, we will share some thoughts about this important way of serving the human family.  Obviously, it is not the only way, but it is what we are doing now.  We invite you to share your prayer requests with us.

Principle #1.  God is all the love, wisdom, joy, and strength, etc. that we could ever need or desire is available to us.  It is as if there is a room filled with the fulfillment of every need.  However, what is needed is a doorway or avenue for expression, so that the love, wisdom, joy, and strength, etc. can be expressed.   Nothing is being withheld from us, but there must be the doorway.

The question is: What is the door?  The answer: A consciousness of the Presence.  This answer leads us into the mystical approach to life and to serving others through prayer.

Recall, all we could ever desire or need is available to us.  It is not withheld.  There is no reluctant God.  However, although all is available to us, there must be an avenue of its expression.  This door or avenue is an awareness of the Presence.

Remember, Jesus' statement, I am the door?   True. He was and is an avenue for God's expression.  However, this is everyone's potential, for whenever anyone awakens or becomes aware of God's presence, an avenue is created and that which God is begins to take form in our lives as healing, decision making, peace of mind, etc.

Obviously, if we are to serve others through prayer, this is what we must be.  We are to open ourselves, so we might be aware of the Presence.  This makes good sense, for how can the presence and power God is come into manifestation unless there is a door?  This points to our co-creatorship with our Creator.  We are a part of the process rather than solely its recipient.    As you can see, if we are to pray for others, we must assume the responsibility of opening ourselves to an experience of the Presence.

Strange, but if we desire to pray for others, we must put aside the name and need of the person we would pray for.  Remember that Spirit needs an avenue for Its expression and that the "door" is someone who is awake to the Presence, someone who experiences God.

Here is another powerful principle of mystical healing.  In God there are no needs, no disease, no famine, or lack.  This being true, why would we bring a need to God?  The answer is that from a mystical perspective, we do not.  Instead, we let the compassion in our hearts and a person's need or prayer request turn us to God.  Then we let the person and his/her need go and give full attention to Spirit.  People deeply rooted in earthly matters do not have heavenly thoughts.  It is when we lift up our eyes that we are lifted into mystical realms where there is fulfillment-where there is only God.  The wonderful thing is that this is when needs are resolved and solutions come into being.
