Telling the Truth about Our Experience
Truth, like freedom, always carries a price. But the price of not telling the truth is much higher.
Not telling the truth may give us temporary security, but it is the security of a prison. We get a bed to lie on and food to eat, but we never get to see what lies behind the prison walls.
Each one of us has a unique journey. Even if we travel a well worn path, we must go at our own pace and have our own experiences. We cannot do this if we let others rush us or hold us back.
When we are feeling uncomfortable with the direction or the pace, we need to speak up. Our journey will be authentic and true only if we have the courage to be honest about who we are.
